Finally going in to change out this gasket, im doin the sparkplugs in the back, and thermostat while its torn apart, i got new gaskets for everything, so im shure i'll have a beautiful time. Wish me luck. later

while u got the intake out, id change the fuel injector o-rings, definately change the rear spark plugs, check your o2 sensor, the one up by the rear of the engine.....definately thermostat........clean your throttle body out.........all i can think of

im glad mine was under warranty, i know some have had to do it twice because the updated gasket wasnt available yet.........so pray you only have the problem once lol and yes pictures always help

Ya well the LIM is done but after i started it up i noticed that the timing cover was pouring out coolant. so.......time for new timing. might as well while i got it torn off, and i got the chain and gears for 30 bucks. 4 new tires too so im going to give it an alignment. i'll be done in 2 days. see ya

Good call D. A little carb cleaner and a toothbrush sized wire brush go a long way. Also do the trick to your MAF sensor aswell if you use a CAI in the Northern states. ( You wouldn't believe what the salted air does to corrode that cast aluminum ) Just be DAMN careful not to touch the wires with said wire brush. :alcoholic: I noticed no power gain whatsoever after cleaning mine out, but I doubt it harmed anything getting that crud outta there :lol:
