Ok so this morning, I went out to my car and noticed the remote wouldnt open the doors. I used the key, and started the car and all the sudden the gas guage wouldnt budge and the battery light came on. So I had to leave my car at home because today was my first day of work at my new job and I didnt want to chance breaking down in the Alero. I get home now and start it up, when the key is in the ON position, i get the SES light, Security Light and the battery light. When i start the car, the tach works for a couple seconds, then it stops working, the rest of the guages dont work, and even the gear selection light turns off once I take it out of Park. Also while running, the service vehicle soon light, Brake light, trac off and every other light on there lights up like a christmas tree. The car ran perfectly fina lastnight, and this morning this happens out of nowhere. HELP!

i had the all lights light up like a christmas thing happen once. but it was after i did a huge e brake donunt in the snow. All i ended up doing was turning my car off, disconected the battery, reconected it( neighbor said to do this something about resets system) and it was fine and has been ever since. month later knock on wood.

Yeah if you disconnect the battery for about 15 mintues, it resets everything. try that first

Well lastnight after driving it around, and turning it off and on, it eventually went away.......Till today again. It was perfectly normal till i was leaving work. Again, the remote keyless didnt work at all. Once i put in the key and turned the car to on, the doors unlocked by themselves. Then I started it and it threw on the battery light, anti-lock light and the brake light this time the whole way home. Oh and no functioning guages either. The odometer and tripometer came on, but never accumulated any milage the whole way home. I wonder if my BCM is going bad and how I can tell for sure.... Anyways, I have her disconnected from the battery just for now, but I don't think that will fix anything in the long term with the symptoms I have been having here.

yah i would go to like autozone, or murrays. know the ones by me to free code readings( tells u why those lights are coming on). or go to a GM dealership if u have to. deff sounds like more tehn just a system reboot. if only u could make it so that it fixxed everything but your odometer lol.

Ya, hooked it back up and same problem. Except now my friggin gas gauge got pegged the wrong direction when i hooked the battery back on and now i have to take the damn gauge cluster apart and turn it back the other way
