I'v now had a 2001 3.4 Alero for a few months and It's always been having problems starting. Usaully it takes a couple turns of the key to start it and every now and then while ideling at intersections or with little throtle, it will kill on me. Also, sometimes while I'm driving the door locks will unlock and lock themselves. Now last night it won't start at all. I replaced the pump and some control moduel under the coil packs and it still won't start, just cranks and cranks. The battery is obviuosly good as well and there are no trouble lights showing.
I've read up on sometime about moisture in the micro chip... but other then that I am clueless.
Any ideas of what's going on? Thanks.

Well after working on it a little more, I've found out I have no fuel pressure. The relay is good and again the pump was replaced. At key on, the pump wont run. Is there a fuse somewhere for the fuel pump besides the relay?
Any suggestions?

Well took it in to the dealership and it was a ignition switch and the associated pass-key module. Not a cheap fix but she runs now like new with no more stalling or crazy electrical problems.

I had that issue with my 2.4 Alero. It would start when it wanted to and when taking it to the dealership it would always work. It never messed with my door locks, but it would cause my radio to lock out. So far I haven't had the same problem with my 3.4. :)
