Car Shakes When Starting

When i turn the key in my ignition, it doesnt start right away. at first it stutters to start, like a second or two longer than normal. But when it does start its like the whole car jerks like it took the whole car to get it running. Last Winter, when it stuttered to start i replaced the battery (from walmart) and it fixed the problem. this year it stutters again, but now the whole car just jerks.....what could be the problem?

ya mine does it too, i have the same motor 2.4, but i noticed ur sig says v4, its an inline four, but ya its probly cause its tryin to start without alot of juice. and winter is worse cause its harder to start and your battery might not have enough power for a cold start, like mine, mine dies alot, just from leaving my radar on.. next time you get a battery get a good one, not walmarts, im not sure what to get but make sure it packs enough juice for a cold start our batteries have a wierd hook up, i think

does neone kno of a good battery to get???
